CHOOSE YOUR SIDE: RAINBOW

CHOOSE YOUR SIDE: RAINBOW

CHOOSE YOUR SIDE: RAINBOW

As our set apart manual says, the lukewarm will be thrown up. Being “lukewarm” means, one playing both opposing sides. As lukewarm is considered being double-minded, it inspires the following segment, ‘Choose Your Side’.In this segment of, ‘Choose Your Side’, we will be discussing the opposing views of what we all know as, the rainbow. The two sides that are in opposition will be discussed by their perspectives. That is the world’s perspective versus YAHUAH’s perspective. One being of many different views and one being of one view only.

World’s Perspective of the RainbowThe world’s perspective of the rainbow comes in various views. It is viewed as a symbol of unification amongst many different groups of people, such as a culture or community. In this section, we will look at many different views which are popular to the world.

Cultural Worldly Views of the Rainbow:All cultures of the world, have their own perception of the rainbow. In the Chinese culture, the rainbow is an illustrated bridge with a double-headed dragon. They also call it “yin and yang”, which includes the five colors of the rainbow. The colors are looked at as a representation of “perfect balance”.In the old Norwegian or old Norse culture, they viewed the rainbow as a celestial bridge, connecting earth to heaven.

The Celtics culture (Celtic Druids), believe that the rainbow curves are emblems of crescent moons and the divine feminine presence. They also believe it is a link to lunar and feminine energy, which both go hand and hand. Those beliefs link to symbolism, which deals with provision, magic, fertility, and prosperity.

The Celts are also known for their most popular phrase, “there’s a pot o’ gold at the end of the rainbow.” Their pot of gold has nothing to do with riches, it is actually a symbol of feminine energy. The pot is feminine due to its opening, and the gold is symbolic of offspring. So the Celts belief in the rainbow, has nothing to do with one coming up on sudden wealth, or riches of material and monetary gain. It has everything to do with what they believed to be a promise of new life, which was provided by a feminine energy.

Community Views of the Rainbow

Not only does cultures of the world have their own views of the rainbow, but many different communities do as well. In this section, the community focused on will be the LGBTQ community.

It is not known why the LGBTQ chose the rainbow as their symbol, but they are glad to have created it to represent them. The rainbow flag is commonly known as, the “LGBTQ pride” flag. This was designed by Gilbert Baker in the late 1970’s, and has been regarded by many as the representation of the LGBTQ. The question is, what was the rainbow recognized as before the 1970’s, and before all of man’s traditions?

YAHUAH’s Perspective

Now that the world’s perspective has been explained, it is now time to view YAHUAH’s perspective.

First and foremost, we must know that YAHUAH is the Creator of all things. We also must understand and respect His perspective, which is written in our set apart manual. Let’s get into the proper perspective, YAHUAH’s perspective.

Most probably know the story of Noah, when YAHUAH caused it to rain continuously for 40 days and 40 nights. YAHUAH caused this to happen, due to man’s wickedness and the evil imaginations of man’s heart. Before the continual rain occurred, the earth had never received it before. For this reason, many didn’t believe Noah when he said the earth will be flooded by YAHUAH. After the days of the flood, when the waters were dried up, YAHUAH established His covenant with Noah. A covenant is an alliance or pledge, in simpler terms, a promise. The covenant was made with the promise that all flesh shall not be cut off by the waters of a flood, and that a flood will not destroy the earth again.

Token of the Covenant

YAHUAH didn’t just establish His covenant with Noah by word, he also left a token of His covenant, which some may not know. That token of the covenant was an actual rainbow. The rainbow is between YAHUAH, Noah and every living creature that was with him for all generations in the earth forever. YAHUAH says He will set His bow in the cloud, and when He brings a cloud over the earth, the bow will be seen. Also that He will see it too, and will remember His promise to not flood the earth to destroy all flesh, the covenant made between Him and the earth. Whenever this rainbow is seen, it is a sign to us that the earth will not be flooded out anymore.

Choose A Side Wisely

Now that both sides are presented (the world’s perspective versus YAHUAH’s perspective), you have some choices to choose from.

Here are the following choices: The world’s perspective, which consists of many different views of the rainbow, or the perspective of YAHUAH, who is the Creator of all things, even the Creator of the rainbow. It is now all on you to ‘Choose Your Side.’

Deuteronomy 30: 15 & 19 (KJV)

15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

  1. Choosing sides is not really my strong suit. I know that it is easy for others to go and just pick a side, but it is not for me. There are lots of people who do not even want to think about it first. I am someone who thinks a lot before I do something, it is just how I am. It takes a lot of work to be able to do it, but believe me, it is part of growing up.
