Who Are We?

Who Are We?

Who Are We?

With all that happens in our lives we at some point take one or two thoughts into consideration. “Why does this happen to us, or why does the world hate us”? All we know is that we have always referred to ourselves as African American. Along with other terms such as Black, Negro, Colored and etc, the list of bywords goes on. But interesting enough, none of these terms can trace back to a specific people at a time before slavery. These terms are in use to keep one away from their true ancestors and knowledge of self.

Hosea 4:6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy Mighty One, I will also forget thy children.

Black is a color. Not an identity for a people or any nationality. So why are we ‘black’ to the whole world? Because YAHUAH said that we will be bywords amongst all nations. Also, considering Africa and America are two different places on the earth. It is impossible to be from both of these places.

Deuteronomy 28:37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither YAHUAH shall lead thee.

Definition Of ‘Black

Who Are We? - black definition

Nowhere in the definition of the word black can we see that it represents for a nation of people or nationality.

Without our true identity, it plays a major role into what happens to us today. We are able to find out who we are by the things that happen to us, in other words known as signs. YAHUAH gave us specific instructions that keeps us at peace and to make good moral choices. Without this knowledge we have went with our own mind. Looking at our communities we can see our minds has gotten us nowhere.
